A newly widowed mother learns her home is in foreclosure, cars are being repossessed and without their father’s employee tuition benefits, her three children will have to drop out of college. To add to her financial woes, her husband’s insurance company will not payout, as they have deemed his death a suicide. In desperation, she trusts sage advice to enter a high-stakes economic marathon, risking everything she has left to win back her family’s freedom — before the creditors take it all.
This story is inspired by actual events.
The tone is noir comedy and the ending earns its hope.
